I was at Odyssey today looking through a bunch of old BMX Plus Magazines from the early 80s and found this awesome ad for Nutrament, endorsed by Ralph Sampson from the Houston Rockets.
"I don't bike competitively, but I can help you win."
Of course you don't bike competitively, you play int he NBA and have supermodels lined up to service your man needs. Why would you "bike competitively."
"And because it's liquid, it digests easily."
Here is a little info on Mr. Ralph Sampson from 2003:
Ralph Sampson, former University of Virginia and NBA basketball star, was recently sentenced to two years of probation and fined $1,000 for not paying child support for his 14-year-old daughter. The 7-foot-4 Sampson, who lives in suburban Atlanta, pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor in federal court in Richmond in April. Prosecutors say Sampson, who owed more than $22,000 when he was arrested, is now only $661 in arrears. Sampson's defense attorney said Sampson fell behind during a period of unstable employment.
I guess those Nutrament checks didn't last very long.
