Dirt was nuts. First of all, the soil was super dusty and riders were having a hard time keeping it together on the last jump so scores were all over the board- and it was windy. Combine those conditions with the new format (best 2 runs count, instead of best run only) and the finals were nuts. Bohan came out of the box with a butter run and was leading the board for the first round. Bohan had a rough second run and it looked like Chris Doyle was going to steal the show with 360 variations on every jump. It looked like the had it in the bag but then Nyquist came up and threw down a 720 truck in his second run and a 360 whip in his last run. Nyquist is the man, hands down, that guy can handle pressure, especially for 15 grand. Homey has to eat. In other dirt news, Stephen Murray was giving it his all and ejected a double flip in the worst possible position, straight onto his neck. The medics took care of him but it wasn't a good crash. He'll be back. They always come back. I've got some videos of the runs and practice photos I'll upload tomorrow.
Cheers,
Justin
